The Texas Education Agency (TEA) recently released the spring 2024 State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR®) results for students in Grades 3-8 and High School EOC's. The results include assessments in mathematics and reading-language arts (RLA) in grades 3-8, 5th and 8th grade science and 8th grade social studies. End-of-Course (EOC) assessment results include Algebra I, English I, English II, Biology and U.S. History assessments.
Individual student STAAR report cards are available for parents across Texas. By visiting their school district’s family portal or https://www.texasassessment.gov/ using the unique access code provided by their child’s school, parents can access their child’s STAAR results. This includes insights into each question their child was asked, how their child answered each question on the test and specific recommendations to support their child’s academic growth.

BROADDUS ISD will host The Seamless Summer Option Program at the Elementary Cafeteria.

Monday - Friday
Breakfast 8:00-8:45am
Lunch 11:00-12:30pm
All meals to students are free! This is for any student 18 years or younger or students that are enrolled with disabilities up to 21!
Adults may purchase a meal
Breakfast $3.25 and Lunch $5.00.

Summer Basketball Camp information

Our Varsity squad had a very successful cheer camp at Great Wolf Lodge!
3 spirit sticks--1 each night;
Red ('2nd place') ribbon on sideline/cheer eval;
BLUE ('1st place') ribbon on camp dance eval (they NAILED it!)
Evey & Ava were selected as All-American.
Raegan, Ava, Zaelynn, Evey, Aubrey, and Julissa all qualify for special events as All-American nominees.
Ava was invited to apply for a UCA STAFF position!
Ava was selected as a Pin It Forward recipient by a UCA staff member on Tuesday, and KK was selected by a cheerleaderon Wednesday. On the first pinit forward, UCA Staff picks a person demonstrating positive qualities, and on the second one, that cheerleader picks someone else.
💙💙💙Today, they competed and won Small Varsity CHAMPION in Camp Dance routine! Most improved squad for the overall camp. 💙💙💙

Broaddus Elementary celebrated two graduations in one day. This morning we held a Kindergarten graduation and this afternoon our 5th grade graduation. We are so proud of both of these groups of students and can't wait to watch them grow and learn at Broaddus ISD. We also had a full house. Please comment any pictures you would like to share that you took with your graduate and families. We would love to see them.
Due to extra minutes in our calendar, BISD will NOT be having classes tomorrow 5/17. Busses will NOT run in the morning!
Please attend our graduation tomorrow evening at 7:00 pm.

The Elementary staff celebrated Tammy Wall today on her upcoming retirement with lunch catered by Midlake Money Pit BBQ. Several staff members dressed up with red wigs to celebrate the day. We will be sending Mrs. Wall off with a high $5 to enjoy her retirement.
